Kelechi Iheanacho played a pivotal role for Leicester City, delivering the crucial assist for Abdul Fatawu’s stunning goal in extra time, securing their passage to the quarterfinals of the English FA Cup with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.

Coming on as a substitute for Tom Cannon in the 64th minute, Iheanacho set up Abdul Fatawu, another substitute brought on at the same time, who netted the decisive goal in the 105th minute. This victory propels the 2021 champions into the next stage of the competition.

The Foxes will await the announcement of their quarterfinal opponent, which will be revealed on Wednesday at 7 pm UK time.

Despite being a role player, Iheanacho has been a vital asset for the Foxes, contributing six goals in 22 appearances across various competitions, along with three assists, one of which proved pivotal in the match against Bournemouth.
