Nigerian international Folashade Ijamilusi has signed a 2-year contract with Chinese Women’s Super League outfit Liaoning Baiye, marking her departure from Edo Queens.

The transfer, facilitated by FIFA-licensed agent Ayodele Thomas, brings the clinical goal-scorer to Liaoning Baiye, bolstering the Shenyang-based club’s title ambitions.

Folashade Ijamilusi’s impressive résumé includes leading Edo Queens to the 2024 West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Women’s Champions League title in Cote D’Ivoire.

She also starred in the club’s inaugural CAF Champions League campaign in Morocco, scoring in their first game against CBE FC in a 3-0 win, and starting every match before their painful semifinal exit to TP Mazembe.

Folashade Ijamilusi has also established herself as a standout player in the Nigeria Women Football League, earning a nomination for the league’s best player in her final season with Robo Queens, and later claiming the golden boot with eight goals in her debut season with Edo Queens.

On the international stage, Folashade Ijamilusi announced her arrival by making her debut in a double-header friendly against Algeria, scoring a stunning hat-trick for the Super Falcons and helping the team secure a convincing 4-1 win in the second leg clash between both countries.

With her move to the Chinese side, Folashade Ijamilusi will hope to further hone her skills, rise to the challenge of stiffer competition, and win trophies for her new team.
