According to 54Footballfx, the NFPL game between Plateau United and Enyimba slated for Sunday 22nd December is likely to be rescheduled as the Enyimba team are still in Maputo since last week’s CAF Confederations Cup 3-0 defeat to Black Bulls 4 days ago.
This is the second time in less than one week that Enyimba’s game is to be rescheduled as their weekday fixture that was to be played on Thursday against Nasarawa United was already postponed due to their continental schedule.
Enyimba has only played 14 NPFL games this season and they sit 9th on the table with 22 points. However, as compared to their counterparts, they have at least 3 games in hand to play.
The Aba Warriors are on a terrible run of form with an eight-game winless run that stretches back to October. With the game now set to be rescheduled, their next game will be against Bendel Insurance on Sunday, December 29.
Fans win hope a quick solution is found to transport the players back to Nigeria and get them training as soon as possible so they can end their abysmal run.
