Nigerian heavyweight boxing star Efe Ajagba is looking to claim his fifth consecutive victory as he faces Italian fighter Guido Vianello on April 13th at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

This co-main event, alongside Jared Anderson vs. Ryad Merhy, marks Ajagba’s return to the ring after his November knockout of Joseph Goodall.

Vianello, with a 14-1-1 record, looks to rebound from a 7th-round knockout loss in January 2023. The Italian Olympian, just like Ajagba, competed in the 2016 Rio Games. He anticipates a thrilling fight, even hinting at an upset.

“This is a huge chance to fight a top heavyweight,” Vianello stated. “I’m ready, and I look forward to a great fight on April 13th.”

Ajagba, boasting a 19-1 record with 14 knockouts, recovered from a loss in 2021 by winning his subsequent four fights. He acknowledges his favoritism but emphasizes he won’t underestimate his opponent.

“I remember Guido from the Olympics; he’s a skilled and powerful fighter,” Ajagba said. “To achieve my dream of becoming heavyweight champion, I need to be at my best against him.”
