Super Falcons attacker, Jennifer Echegini has been on the form of her life in recent months. She scored Nigeria’s first and only goal at the Paris Olympics against Japan, following in the stead of legends such as Mercy Akide, Perpetual Nkwocha, and Vera Okolo as the only Nigerian women to have scored a goal at the Olympics.

The 23-year-old also completed a move to French giants, Paris Saint Germain, on a three-year-contract until June 2027.

Although she missed a penalty on the cusp of half time, Echegini scored her first two competitive goals for Les Parisiennes in a 6-1 demolition of Dijon in the French Division 1 Féminine.

Speaking with OJBsportstv, Echegini reaffirms her passion for goalscoring stating that she tends to be unhappy when she fails to score: “It makes me feel good, I always like scoring goals, it has been my identity. So when I don’t score goals, I’m kind of sad,” she said.
