Victor Boniface’s transfer saga has taken another turn as despite agreeing on terms with Bayer Leverkusen and the Nigerian striker, Al Nassr is now deciding between signing Boniface or Jhon Duran.

Al Nassr had sent a team to Germany, securing a deal with Bayer Leverkusen worth over €60 million for Boniface. The Saudi club also agreed on salary and contract terms with the Nigerian, who would earn €15 million per season (approximately N23.805 billion).

However, despite completing and passing his medical, the deal for Boniface to join Al Nassr is not yet finalized as reports suggest that the Saudi side is still considering Jhon Duran, who has agreed to terms, and is open to joining the club.

Al Nassr have also reportedly submitted a bid around €70 million for Jhon Duran to Aston Villa. However, it is uncertain if the premier league side will accept the bid, especially considering their £80 million valuation of the Colombian striker.

Nonetheless, the transfer saga is nearing its end, with Al Nassr expected to make a decision between Boniface and Duran on Wednesday, according to football correspondent David Ornstein.

Ornstein also revealed that Darwin Nunez is on Al Nassr’s list of alternative targets. However, Liverpool is unwilling to sell the Uruguayan international during the January transfer window.
