D Champs FC clinch maiden Rikky-T football tournament

The inaugural Rikky-T Football Tournament, held over the weekend in Surulere, Lagos, concluded in spectacular fashion as D Champs FC clinched the trophy by defeating Mushin FC 3-2 in a nail-biting final on Sunday.

The tournament featured 8 competitive teams from across the Ikate-Itire Local Community Development Areas, showcasing exceptional talent and sportsmanship. Fans filled the side-lines, creating an electric atmosphere that celebrated the spirit of football and community engagement.

The event was graced by representative of esteemed Chairman of Ikate-Itire LCDA, Dr. Olanrewaju Apatira, who expressed his unwavering support for grassroots sports development. In his remarks, Dr. Apatira committed to partnering with the tournament organizer, Richson Tetteh, and his foundation, APEX – Athletes Pursuing Excellence, to enhance the quality and engagement of future tournaments.
