Daniel Daga’s Molde will be in action against Legia Warszawa in the Conference League round of 16, following the draw held at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday.

Molde secured their spot in the round of 16 by defeating Shamrock Rovers in a penalty shootout, after the two teams were tied 1-1 on aggregate. This came after the Norwegian side finished 23rd in the league phase with seven points.

On the other hand, Legia Warszawa earned automatic qualification by finishing seventh in the league phase, winning four matches and losing twice while conceding the least amount of goals in the tournament (5).

The winner of the Molde-Legia Warszawa tie will advance to face either league phase leaders Chelsea or Copenhagen, who qualified for the round of 16 by defeating Heidenheim in the playoffs.

Daniel Daga, who made a memorable professional debut by scoring a penalty, will aim to continue adapting to life at Molde as the Norwegian side seeks to progress deeper into the Conference League.

The round of 16 fixtures are scheduled to take place on March 6 (first leg) and March 13 (second leg) and supporters will be eagerly anticipating these matches, as the competition heats up and the stakes grow higher.
