Al Masry coach Ali Maher is optimistic about his team securing a positive result against Enyimba in their penultimate CAF Confederation Cup Group D clash, set to take place today at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Currently second in the group standings behind Zamalek, Al Masry are looking to strengthen their position with a strong performance away at Enyimba in Uyo. Meanwhile, Enyimba sits at the bottom of the table with four points from four matches but trails Al Masry by just one point.
A victory for Enyimba could propel them to second place, provided Zamalek wins or draws against Black Bulls in Cairo later today.

Maher believes the battle for the second quarterfinal spot will likely be determined on the final matchday. Nonetheless, he has emphasized the significance of today’s encounter against Enyimba, calling it a match of “utmost importance.”
“The match against Enyimba is of utmost importance,” Maher stated during Saturday’s pre-match press conference. “We are determined to achieve a positive result that will enhance our chances of advancing to the quarterfinals. The group’s outcome, however, will only be settled in the final round. The players are fully focused on tomorrow’s game.”
With only the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals, Zamalek currently leads Group D with eight points from four matches. Al Masry follows with five points, while Black Bulls of Mozambique and Enyimba are tied at four points, occupying third and fourth place, respectively.
