Chima Moneke played a pivotal role in Baskonia’s first victory of the Liga ACB season, contributing 18 points in their narrow 95-92 win over Ucam Murcia on Saturday at the Fernando Buesa Arena.

After losing their opening two league games, Baskonia desperately needed a win to get their 2025/25 campaign back on track. Moneke, a D’Tigers power forward, came off the bench to provide the spark they needed.

In addition to his 18 points, Moneke also recorded one rebound and two assists. Denta Hall led all scorers with 27 points, along with nine rebounds and one assist. Kamar Baldwin contributed 16 points, five rebounds, and six assists.

Baskonia will look to build on this momentum as they face their toughest challenge yet in the Euro League on Tuesday against fellow Spanish side Real Madrid.

Vladimír Brodziansky led Ucam Murcia with 15 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Three other players, Simon Birgander, Dylan Ennis, and Ludvig Håkanson, each contributed 14 points in the team’s defeat.

Baskonia are now 12th on the log after recording one win and two losses in three games.
