The coach of the Black Galaxies, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has released a 26-man squad for the clash against Nigeria in the CHAN qualifiers that is set to take place in Accra on Sunday, December 22.

The list features several quality players such as Nation FC’s Razak Simpson and Charwatey Faisal, Asante Kotoko’s Albert Amoah, Medeama’s Nurudeen Abdulai, Kusi Asante who plays for Vision FC, and Isaac Afful of FC Samartex 1996.

As part of their preparations, the Black Galaxies have played three friendlies and have won all three including their most recent test against Togo which they won 2-0.

As revealed by Dramani, they have now been focused on recovery and getting to full fitness ahead of the all-important clash against the Super Eagles B of Nigeria.

The Super Eagles B led by Daniel Ogunmodede also earlier released an 18-man squad headlined by experienced midfielder, Rabiu Ali, Remo Stars attacker, Sikiru Alimi and Nasarawa United defender, Victor Collins.

The first leg of the qualifiers will take place in the 40,000 capacity Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, 22nd December, with the reverse leg set for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday, 28th December. The winner over two legs will earn a spot in the African Nations Championship holding in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Ghana will be hoping to eliminate Nigeria for the second tournament in a row. However, the Super Eagles B will be desperate for glory as they seek to guarantee their qualification for next year’s tournament.
