Premier league side Brentford, have reportedly agreed a deal to secure the loan signing of Nigerian-eligible defender Michael Kayode from Italian club Fiorentina.
Kayode has been highly sought after by several top-tier Premier League and European clubs, but Brentford having submitted a deal to sign him in January, are now the clear front runners.
The proposed loan deal would see Kayode join Brentford until the end of the season, with the club holding an option to purchase him permanently for €16m.
To complete the transfer, Brentford will now focus on finalizing the contract details, arranging a medical examination, and completing the necessary paperwork to enable Kayode to make his debut as soon as possible.
The move would provide Kayode with a valuable opportunity to showcase his skills in a top league, having had limited playing time at Fiorentina this season.
