Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare continued his impressive form, scoring his 10th goal of the season as Genk battled to a 2-2 draw against St. Truiden in a thrilling Limburg derby.
Arokodare, who has been a revelation this season, put Genk ahead in the 27th minute. However, St. Truiden fought back with two goals from Andriano Bertaccini in the 66th and 77th minutes. To add to the drama, a 93rd-minute own goal by Genk goalkeeper Leo Kokubo sealed a point for each side.
This is Arokodare’s second consecutive game with a goal, bringing his total to four in the last six matches. This achievement marks his first double-digit goal tally in a league since the 2019/20 season in Latvia’s Virsliga.
Arokodare now shares the league’s top scorer position with Anderlecht’s Kasper Dolberg and St. Truiden’s Andriano Bertaccini.
