Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored for the second consecutive Super Lig game, helping Galatasaray come from behind to secure a crucial 2-1 win against Alanyaspor on Sunday.
Galatasaray were eager to bounce back from a four-game winless streak in all competitions, including a 3-3 draw that allowed Fenerbahçe to close the gap on the league leaders. They faced an Alanyaspor side that had lost their previous league game and were seeking victory in front of their home fans.
Alanyaspor made a strong start, with Tonny Vilhena scoring to give the home side the lead, before some controversial decisions by the referee sparked a furious response from Galatasaray, with Baris Alper Yilmaz and Mario Lemina receiving yellow cards. The situation escalated when substitute goalkeeper, Günay Güvenc was given a red card for attacking the referee during the half-time break.
In the second half, Galatasaray returned with renewed determination, refusing to accept defeat. Their persistence paid off when Fidan Aliti scored an own goal, tying the game and increasing Galatasaray’s hopes of completing a comeback.
With the scoreline level, Osimhen proved to be the hero for Galatasaray once again, receiving a brilliant cross from Baris Alper Yilmaz before heading the ball into the back of the net in the 62nd minute, completing the comeback and securing three points for the Turkish champions.

The crucial win takes Galatasaray to 68 points, seven points ahead of Fenerbahçe, who have a game in hand. Osimhen and his teammates will thus aim to continue their surge towards the title when they host Antalyaspor in their next league game.
