Nigeria-eligible defender, Tosin Adarabioyo scored two goals to help Chelsea secure qualification to the fourth round of the FA Cup as they trashed Morecambe 5-0 in Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The 27-year-old lined up in Chelsea’s defense, starting in the right center back position, alongside Reece James, who made his return from injury, as well as Axel Disasi and Renato Veiga.
Chelsea controlled the first half, earning a penalty in the 17th minute after Yann Songo’o’s handball. However, Nkunku’s spot-kick was denied by a brilliant save from Burgoyne.
The deadlock was eventually broken in the 40th minute when Tosin Adarabioyo’s long-range effort took a deflection and found the back of the net, giving Chelsea the deserved lead before half-time.

Chelsea blew Morecambe away in the second half as Nkunku netted to double the lead in the 60th minute, followed by Adarabioyo’s second long-range goal. Joao Felix then sealed the win with a quickfire brace, scoring twice in just three minutes to put the game out of Morecambe’s reach.
With the win, Chelsea are now into the fourth round of the FA Cup and they will quickly shift their attention to the premier league where they will host Bournemouth, hoping to end their four-game winless streak in the league.
