AC Milan Director Geoffrey Moncada has confirmed that Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze will continue to play for the club, putting to rest rumors of a possible move to Turkey.

Although the transfer window has closed in Europe’s top leagues, Turkey’s window remains open until February 11, fueling speculation that Samuel Chukwueze could still depart AC Milan in pursuit of regular playing opportunities.

Nonetheless, following AC Milan’s 3-1 Coppa Italia Quarter Final victory over Roma, where Samuel Chukwueze remained as an unused substitute, Geoffrey Moncada expressed his optimism about the player’s future: “Samuel Chukwueze will stay with us,” he stated.

Reports indicate that Samuel Chukwueze was also being pursued by Premier League clubs, including Tottenham and Fulham, who made attempts to secure his signature on the final day of the transfer window, in addition to interest from Turkish clubs.

Following the impressive cup victory, Samuel Chukwueze and his teammates will now shift their focus to AC Milan’s upcoming Serie A match against Empoli on Saturday, where the Nigerian international will aim to contribute to the team’s success on the road.

Having scored four goals and provided one assist this season, Samuel Chukwueze will be seeking to build on his tally with more playing time, aiming to impress not only his new coach Sergio Conceicao but also potential clubs that may still be interested in signing him during the summer transfer window.
