12 teams will be involved in the battle for supremacy as the 2025 edition of the Be Happy Basketball Tournament commences at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi from 15-19 January.
The defending champions, Jos Gees will hope to defend their title against stiff competition from basketball teams across Northern Nigeria including: Yankari Kings (Bauchi), Abba Gida Basketball Club (Kano), Be Happy Stars (Bauchi), Maktown Flyers (Benue), and Suns Basketball Academy (Jos).
Other teams who will be competing for title are Elite Basketball Club Wukari (Taraba), Gamji Basketball Club (Maiduguri), Adamawa Stars (Yola), Katsina United Basketball Club (Katsina), Taraba Hurricanes (Taraba), and the Cubs Basketball Team (Bauchi).
Beyond vying for the top honor, the tournament also presents a platform for emerging basketball talents to demonstrate their abilities to a broad spectatorship, thereby increasing their visibility and potential to be discovered by elite teams and scouts.
As the tournament draws near, teams are intensifying their training and fine-tuning their strategies, gearing up for a thrilling contest of skill and determination, with the ultimate goal of claiming the top spot in the fourth annual Be Happy Basketball Tournament.
